I am 'semi-freelance' - meaning I have been working as a teacher and a translator/intepreter. I would like to shift it from part-time-teacher/interpreter to part-time-interpreter/teacher. Which means sometimes I can work really fast on translations, sometimes not so very fast :). That also explains why I counted my years of work experience (translation) on 10 and started around 1985. I have been teaching high school students and undergraduates (English for students of environmental technology, veterinary medicine and biology) and teaching is fun, as it helps you not to lose your inquisitive mind. On the other hand, translating is interesting and rewarding, so I decided to do both.
I have translated various texts and the two books I like most are K.Pryor's "Don't Shoot the Dog!" ("Ära koera maha lase!"
) and S. Steingraber's "Having Faith" ("Mina olen ookean. Lapseootel keskkonnateadlase päevik"
