About Me

I gained experience and knowledge working for a translation company as Head Locale Specialist, Translation Manager and Production Manager. During my years at this company, I helped localize stuff in many areas: medical, pharmaceutical, technical, food & beverages and IT.

At present, I work mostly in the pharmaceutical, IT and food & beverages fields. In the pharma industry, I keep translating dossiers and clinical trials. In the IT field, I work as Head Locale Specialist for one of the major players in Silicon Valley (one of the most popular file sharing apps in the world). At the same time, I am an entrepreneur as I have started a translation team specialized in the craft brewing industry.

I must be the luckiest linguist-translator around. I get to work with business people who, like me, are die-hard brewers and unapologetic beer lovers.

I’m a linguist-translator. I’ve worked as a Language Specialist for well-known Silicon Valley companies, including Language Specialist (es-LA) for Google and Head Locale Specialist (es-LA) for Dropbox, as well as pharmaceutical and microbiology businesses.

Additionally, I’ve been an avid brewer for almost two decades. I love hops, malt, yeast and the delicate roasted notes of an Irish Dry Stout.

My Story

About four years ago, I had the opportunity to work with a brewing distributor who needed malt specification sheets localized from U.S. English to Spanish for Latin America.

As we worked together, the translation process flowed so naturally — as if I were brewing one of my favorite recipes.

Right then, I realized I could combine my translation expertise and love of the beer culture to help B2B brewing companies succeed internationally.

That’s when I built iBrewtranslations.

The Clients I Help

Since starting iBrewtranslations, I’ve worked with incredible brewing-industry clients. Here are three quick stories that show who and how I help.

1. A brewing equipment manufacturer needed their English operations and maintenance manuals localized into Colombian Spanish for a specific brewery.

Our turnkey translation solution included localizing, producing and publishing the documents. My client loved the convenience of the all-in-one service (and their Colombian customers were delighted with the content!).

2. A global malt, hop and yeast distributor needed their English catalog localized into Canadian French. They were looking for industry-specific translation services, as their existing translated materials lacked the nuance of brewing language.

They were delighted with our brewing translation quality. We continue to translate their content into multiple languages (Taiwanese, Mandarin, Brazilian Portuguese and Mexican Spanish).

3. A brewing company marketing director needed help to localize several malt specification sheets into Mexican, Colombian, Argentinian and Puerto Rican Spanish. Also, they’d lost access to their spec-sheet illustrations source files.

We reached out to an expert graphic designer who recreated the files. In addition to translating the documents, we optimized their source files for localization, saving our client time and money in future projects.
