I'm an American mothertongue who has been living and working in Italy for 7 years. I'm a part-time English teacher/translator. I have a B.A. in Public Relations and an M.A.Ed. in Education (Curriculum and Instruction).
My translating experience is quite broad; I've translated travel/hotel brochures, classic literature, poetry, university theses, divorce documents, birth certificates, marriage certificates, lyrics, newspaper articles, business correspondences, and a book. In addition to translating, I've also done simultaneous interpreting for sporting events, marriage ceremonies, and legal depositions.
In summary, I've translated whatever people have thrown at me. No job is either too big or small. I pride myself on accuracy, and on communicating the exact message through the target language. Although I lack a list of titles and certificates after my name, I believe that experience is worth more than a piece of paper.
