The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between students’ experiential online games and the competence in solving problems.
The method of this study was survey research and the research instruments were New Edited Tests for Solving Problems by Prof. Chan Shiou-mei and Prof. Wu Wu-tien in 2002 and self-edited questionnaires on elementary school students’ experiential online games in the current situations. It was conducted in 452 valid samples out of the sixth graders of elementary schools in Changhua.
All the data were processed by social science statistical packaged software SPSS12.0 and analyzed in aspects of percentage, average, standard deviation, Chi-square test, t-test and One-Way ANOVA so as to verify all hypotheses.
As a whole, experiential online games have bad influence in sixth graders’ competence in solving problems accordingly.
