I began studying the Japanese language and culture at the age of 16, attended a university course for 3 years and have subsequently been living in Japan for just over 7 years, tweaking and refining my Japanese language skills. Several years ago I started to work as a translator. I've successfully completed a large number of English to Japanese translations, mostly involving instruction manuals, company brochures and promotional matter. I consider myself able to do, not only the above, but also medical translation and computer-related technical work too.
Up until now, I've completed work for numerous Japanese based companies, including Honda, JR Kyushu as well as local businesses. In addition to these, I've also worked on projects for Rolls-Royce (Japanese language translation from original English text, of promotional documents for the new engine to be used on Boeing's 7E7 Dreamliner)
I have a sophisticated range of prices depending on the volume, difficulty and timeframe of the job. I tend to price per sheet/page, but am flexible and open to offers.
