One of 25 individuals awarded the Women in Leadership and Disability Scholarship by Mobility International in 2010 in order to attend a special three-week program featuring workshops, discussions and on-site visits to explore challenges and exchange strategies for increasing leadership opportunities and build and international network.

Selected as a scholarship recipient to participate in the 2010 “DanceAbility Teacher Training” at the “ImpulsTanz Festival” in Vienna, Austria, in order to learn creative methodologies to build inclusive communities through dance and movement. Additionally, I have helped facilitate the Teacher Training by translating all source documents from English to Spanish and by managing the online newsgroup.
