Bio
I specialize in translations from/to English/Slovak language, as well as from Czech to English language. I have been dealing with both literary and non-literary translation already for several years and I still strive to improve my qualification and professional approach to translating and my own work with strong emphasis on quality of the translation.

I have finished my university studies of study program „translating and interpreting“ at the Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica with specialization in English language and culture.

I have passed the state exam at the Department of English and American Studies on 27.5.2008. I have started to study with enthusiasm both domestic and foreign translation theory and its application in practice already during my studies; and I have participated in various competitions encompassing both literary and non-literary translation. I have started to translate for various companies already during my studies, so I have several years worth of experience with translation activities.

I have the trade licence for translating activity from 1.10.2008. I have recently finished working on the translation of a book by Eric Hoffer: The True Believer, which will be published by the publishing house Európa under the name Pravoverný in 2009. I currently cooperate in the field of non-literary translation with several translation agencies and companies.

Main fields I work with include economics, marketing, HR, building industry, environment, news, business, legal documents and many others. However, nobody is perfect in everything, so if you have a highly specialized text (e.g. medicine, technical machine industry text...), which you need to have translated, please first verify whether I am able to make the translation. I have experience with translation of business and legal contracts, various agreements and statements, abstracts of diploma of bachelor papers, documents necessary for applications for various grants, annual reports, internal directives, business correspondence, price quotations, minutes, manuals, technical reports for building-engineering projects, EIA, brochures, presentations, catalogues, websites ...
