About me
Having been born in Russia and raised in the United States from the age of four, I am a native speaker of both Russian and English.

I moved to Russia in May 1998 at the age of 26 and lived there until July 2008, honing my translation skills and gainging experience in a wide range of fields.

I am also a proficient consecutive interpreter with five years of experience and certification in the U.S. from the State of Washington as a medical and social services interpreter and nine years of experience as a business interpreter in Russia.

I studied French in grade school, high school and college and German in college.

I used French professionally as an interpreter in the U.S. and started using German professionally part-time while still in Russia.

In July 2008, I moved to Germany and started using German professionally full-time while working at a major public relations firm. I now continue to use German professionally from time to time as a freelancer.

In terms of written translation, I am most proficient in Russian to English and have nine years of experience doing written translations in business environments.

In addition to being a translator, I am also a journalist and editor. I also have experience as a full-time copywriter and editor at public relations firms. In addition to translating text, I convey the message in the most concise and streamlined form possible.

I am also a professional voice-over actor with my own professional equipment and audio software. I am available for turnkey solutions for voice-over work in English and Russian.
