Russian to English: Искушение капиталиста - Temptation of the Capitalist General field: Bus/Financial Detailed field: Business/Commerce (general)
Translation - English Business is a harsh environment. It is a world in which people fight for money, while working on the edge and sometimes evein going beyond the point of foul play. What decision should the manager take if he had to choose between “company or conscience”?
The current crisis helped Igor Chepenko, the general manager of the metal trading company Brokinvest Service, to reveal a new side of his character, which is by no means a pure one.
During the spring and summer of 2008, Igor searched for an equipment supplier for a new project in the field of logistics, but without success. Finally in August he had a stroke of luck: Chepenko managed to find a small international company whose conditions satisfied him. The holding company brought in more than $1 million in down payment (around 40% of order cost) and the contractor set to work on the preparation of the equipment. However, the unexpected crisis didn’t do a bad job in ruining the relationship between the partners.
