I have been a professional translator from German, Dutch and French to English for over 19 years. From 1981 to 1990 I was employed in the Language Services Department of Lurgi GmbH, one of the world's major engineering and construction companies, translating tenders, advertising literature, conference papers, reports and correspondence. Lurgi GmbH's language services department also supplied translations to its parent Metallgesellschaft AG (MG) and other companies of the MG group, and I built up wide-ranging expertise in the specialisms mentioned. Since returning to the UK to work as a freelance translator, I have been able to impress clients throughout Europe with the high quality of my translations.

My charges are of the order of GBP 60.00 per 1000 words (plus VAT where applicable).
