I am a Spanish, Russian, and Bulgarian to English translator. I have been a translator since 2007 when I worked as an in-house translator for the Center for Interethnic Cooperation in Moscow, Russia. Since then I have taken on assignments from a range of areas from both Spanish and Russian: from technical to political and legal to scientific.
I have worked for several companies and organizations including 3M Russia, the International Atomic Energy Agency, Movement for Youth and Water, and Campion's law firm. I have worked for several agencies in the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain and Russia- including a 180-page book translation from Russian into English on marketing.
I gained my undergraduate degree from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland (Russian and Spanish), and my master's in interpreting and translation from the University of Bath, England where I acquired the skills necessary to translate legal, technical, and scientific texts.
I have had two internships at the United Nations in Vienna, including a month-long translation internship at the International Atomic Energy Agency where I translated statements and technical documents from Russian and Spanish into English.
I worked as an in-house translation fellow at the World Intellectual Property Organization in Geneva for six months, and I continue to work for the Organization from home as a freelance translator of Russian and Spanish.
I also worked at the International Labour Conference in Geneva this past June as a translator and editor, and I now work for this Organization as a freelance Russian translator.
I was raised in both the United States and Ireland, and, therefore, I am able to write clearly and fluently in both the American and British styles and spellings of the English language.
