I am a highly qualified international professional who has lived in five countries. My domicile is The UK although I am currently living in Spain, in the Alicante region. I love the sun and warm weather and this climate suits me well. I love the language and am in the process of learning it. I have been told that my Spanish pronounciation is perfect and I find it an easy language.
Although I qualified as a Translator and Interpretor from Tampere Language Insitute in 1976 and have been translating as part of my work since then, I only went freelance two years ago and haven't looked back. I also qualified as a TEFL teacher in Granada, Spain, in October 2008. I was a supply teacher of English in Finland in 1976-1977, teaching both primary and secondary school children in age ranges 9-13. I permanently moved to the UK in 1977. I am married to a Brit and have two adult sons. I also taught Finnish at our local Saturday School in Bristol, as well as contributed to our local newspaper, the Bristol Observer.
My biggest achievement in life is bringing up our two sons to be bilingual. They both speak and write perfect Finnish and manage really well in communicating with our friends and relatives in Finland.
