Source text - English PhotoSwap conceived by Timothy Prus is simple. Follow the rules printed here but be mindful of the last rule: “All rules are flexible”.
It is an exhibition that started in Calgary at the Paul Kuhn gallery and will finish at the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto after going round the globe. So far Photo London, the Brighton Biennial in England and the Botero Museum in Medellin, Colombia have hosted shows. This December it will be at the Lianzhou International Photo Festival 2006 in China.
Timothy exhibits a few hundred photographs he has taken and invites anyone to come and swap up to three of their images for three of his. As his photos disappear into new collections a picture of the host town emerges. Print quality and size are irrelevant so long as the swapper has taken the photographs themselves.
All the results are archives and analysed.
Many people don’t come prepared to swap. They search their bags and quite often find an image that has been in their wallet for twenty years. Sometimes weddings, sometimes christenings, often dogs emerge and it is with a sense of relief that these images can be dispensed with and replaced by something completely different.
The Rules of PhotoSwap
You can swap up to three of your photographs with Timothy Prus’s on the walls.
The Photographs must be the ones that you have taken yourself.
Your photographs can be any size and printed on any medium.
Leave your contact details on the back of the photograph.
Find a PhotoSwap monitor to swap your photos for you.
Rules are flexible.

FEEDBACKS FROM CLIENTS:
Ms Zhao was extremely helpful and I have the most excellent recommendation for her work. The work was on time or early and very fairly priced. The highest compliment that I can give her is that she is above all caring for the satisfaction of her clients. I have had occasion to use other translators and Hui (Annie)Zhao is way ahead of the rest of the men and women with whom I have worked.
