In 2004 I started to study for teaching the Spanish language and obtained one year later the propaedeutics with very good results.
In 2005 I started to study Spanish language and culture at the University of Utrecht, The Netherlands. During this study we focused on literature (from Spain and South America), culture, history, linguistics and the language itself.
During the last year, the master study, I mainly focused on the teaching of second languages. Not the practical part of teaching, but more the theoretical part, that is to say, we discussed the different teaching methods, the importance of pragmatics in language education, the use of internetcommunication with native speakers etc.
In my thesis I investigated the use of internetcommunication in language education. I focused on the education of pragmatics in a Spanish course (given at the University of Utrecht) and if the internetcommunication with native speakers can facilitate this. In more detail: is it possible to learn pragmatic aspects of the Spanish language simply by interacting with native speakers and without receiving any instruction?
During a training period at ABC at the department of teaching materials, I created extra teaching material for the already existing method Lasca 2, a method for secundary schools at a beginners level. This teaching material is published on the next website:
