Bio
I am a native korean who had move to Malaysia in August, 2008 because of my spouse’s new position in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, so I have been living in Malaysia since 2008.
The undergraduate programme in Science Education at Ewha Womans University in South Korea has taught me basic theorys of chemistry and biology. After graduating from the university, I decided to pursue further studies in psychology in order to learn more about human beings. Therefore, I studied psychology in master progaramme at Ewha Womans University in South Korea. The master and doctorate programmes in Psychology at Ewha Womans University have provided me strong psychological theory frames. The classes required students English-written text books so I am familiar with terms and notions in English and Korean.
Upon graduation of master degree, I embarked on a professional counselling researcher career with the student counselling centres at several Korean universities. I have worked as a counselling researcher in student counseling center in campus for 6 years.
While I worked as a counseling researcher in universities, I wanted to study psychology more deeply and widely, so I enrolled doctorial program at Ewha university but unfortunately I could not complete the program due to the relocation of my spouse to Malaysia.
In 2009, with my colleagues in Korea, I worked researching and translating articles through mail in order to present the article at American Psychological Association(APA) annual conference, held in Toronto, Canada. The article was about multicultural issue that aimed to reveal the different perceptions and attitude between Korean and American on specific issue.
