Bio
I am a US Department of Defense-trained linguist in Korean and Persian-Farsi. I am a 3/3 Korean linguist on the the Defense Language Proficiency Test and have done some translation work for DOD as an Army Reservist. I am out of the military now and looking for freelance Korean-English written translation work. I have close translator contacts Master's degree students in Translation at the Monterey Institute of International Studies) in Korea from my days at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA and they are willing to collaborate with me on any projects. I am planning to move to Korea fall 2010 or early 2011.

I am a 3/2+ Persian/Farsi linguist, but spent the last two years in Afghanistan working with the US Agency for International Development as a field officer. As a result, I become more fluent in Dari. I did some translation as well as editing there, and I attended meetings and worked without a translator.

I am available to translate from Korean, Farsi, or Dari to English as the target language.

I am new to the translation business, so I am willing to offer good value in order to prove my skills.
