Translations that work
More than serving as communications or texts, translations serve a function. When we send a message or create a document that needs translation, we have a specific idea of what that translation needs to do, of how that translation needs to affect, inform or inspire the reader. As a translator I work with my clients to find that function and to manifest it's spirit within the text that I create for them. Whether it be a patient education form or an annual report my translations bring through the purpose behind the document.
Focusing on medical translations, I bring the experience of being a certified medical translator to my textual work. More important than words or currencies are the lives of the people my documents will help to care for. That's why I've volunteered the majority of my time as a interpreter to low cost clinics. We all need to be cared for, regardless of our language skills.
