I started learning Spanish in Junior High as any kid would with a view to possibly going to college and fulfilling that 2 year foreign language requirement. The last thing on my mind was that it would evolve into a lifelong affair with it's people, culture, music and food. The 2 year minimum turned into 3 years as I went into highschool. From there I went on to acquire many, many Spanish speaking friends and even started volunteer work in the Latino community. Fast forward 10 years and I fulfilled my dream of living in Mexico! The year I was there afforded me countless opportunities for translation and interpretation for other tourists and even teaching English to eager Oaxacan students. Then I became a certified Medical Interpreter through Department of Social and Health Services in Washington State which gave even more priceless experience. Fifteen years after first saying "Aqui!" during class roll call, I am finally starting my home translation business. I'm so excited to have come across ProZ.com to help me with that.
My focus is to provide excellent translation work faster than the norm and accurate results with exclusive access to resources for any necessary research on your project. Let Modus Language Services work for you!
