My name is Maria and I was born in Lisbon in 1965.
I have lived in England for almost fourteen years.

I have never worked as a translator, but it is something I would like to do and I am confident that I am fluent enough in both languages, even if I am not formaly qualified as a translator.

However I have several other certificates:

*Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English
*IOL Bilingual Certificate
*Westminister University Certificate In English/ Portuguese Year 5

I am prepared to charge very low fees,until I have gained some experience in this field.
I have a full time job as a receptinist in a four star hotel,therefore I won't be depending on my income from translating.

I am used to dealing with general public and have a background in Catering & Leisure Industry. I have also lived in Paris and Rome where I worked as a Nanny while I perfected my French and learnt some Italian.
