As a qualified linguist, I have developed a genuine passion for languages. Courses in English Philology and Linguistics allowed me to undertake an in-depth study into the core of language. I have a particular interest in language syntax that reflects its semantics, or vice versa, for others. I have been offered a place on a doctoral studies course in Applied Linguistics.
My freelance career began in 2004 in Poland. For the next 4 years I did some small translations and interpretting, e.g. during 7th Advanced World Aerobatic Championship Poland 2006. However, the true stroy started when I entered the UK interpreting industry in 2008. I have interpreted in English<>Polish in courts, for solicitors and at Job Centre Plus, while my interest in written translation has been growing. I have been in the translation industry for good for more than 4 years and although it may seem a short time, I have gained priceless experience and knowledge of the target market and its rules in the job of Project Manager in the translation agency.
I worked as Project Manager at Adelphi Translations Ltd., where I was given the opportunity to deal with projects in any world language. Cooperating with translators and artists with high standards of reliability and quality, I learned the requirements of a perfect translation. Having that knowledge and experience I came back to my homeland, Poland, where I have been currently taking a position of Key Account Coordinator in one of the most widely known publishing houses in the world.
My recent translations into Polish concerned general texts, contracts, voice over scripts, pharmaceuticals, dietary products and claims, and health & safety documentation.
Being energetic, communicative, creative, and well-organised I am rising to new exciting translation/interpreting/voiceover challenges as they come my way.
I would like to extend a warm welcome to potential business partners.
