I have a Master's degree in Business Communication Studies (Radboud University Nijmegen) and a Bachelor's degree of translation (French/Dutch) (Hogeschool West-Nederland voor Vertaler en Tolk at The Hague).
In 2010 I started working as a professional freelance translator. Since then I have done both translation and proofreading assignments in various fields, for example legal (birth certificates, articles of association, survey reports), business (terms of employment, job-offer texts, articles of staff magazines), marketing (catalogs, product comparisons, advertorials), insurance (correspondence), miscellaneous (tourism, architecture, music).
Before I started working as a professional translator I worked for several years as a financial-economic advisor at the Ministry of Justice in The Hague. Then I worked for major French insurance companies as a claims handler at Van Ameyde Netherlands, where I translated insurance related texts on a daily basis. For more information, I would like to refer you to my website www.lebonmot.nl.
Being a native speaker of Dutch, I only translate from French into Dutch. I'm a sworn translator (District Court of The Hague), listed in the Dutch register of sworn interpreters and translators (www.bureaubtv.nl) and member of the Netherlands Society of Interpreters and Translators (NGTV).
