I am a Swedish person, with Swedish as my mother tongue, who has studied German and lived in Germany for a period of eight years.
I have a M.A. (filosofie magister) in German from Växjö University, Sweden,
with studies also at Lund University and Marburg University, Germany.
When I lived in Germany I worked as a sports teacher using only the German language. I have close contact with the German language and culture through my family, friends and professional contacts.
I have during many years taught Swedish to German-speaking persons and German to Swedish-speaking persons. These language educations took place mainly through Ikea.
My translation experience include translating business-texts and letters for Swedish firms from German to Swedish and Swedish to German; translating texts (Swedish to German and German to Swedish) for websites including a website about Carl von Linné: http://www.linnaeus.nu.
I have for many years worked as an assistant to a realtor in Sweden who specialised in customers from Denmark and Germany. I have there had thorough and continuous contacts with German clients both through the spoken and written language. I often translated documents from German to Swedish and from Swedish to German. |
