I am a native speaker of Urdu and Punjabi, and fluent in spoken Hindi. After doing MA English, I taught the language in Pakistan to under grad & graduate students. I also taught Urdu for two years at Stanford University, Palo Alto, CA. Moreover, I taught Punjabi, Urdu, and Hindi at IDESLI San Francisco and conversational Hindi at City College San Francisco.
In 1995 I passed Civil Superior Service Exam in Pakistan and received extensive training in public speaking, research report writing, communication, and public relations. I continued teaching on part time basis while under training and also while working as PRO. In 2001, I came to the US. In 2005 I completed my digital video certificate from SFSU. As this course trained me in video making techniques, it also taught me the art of story telling.
I am an amazing interpreter with a special gift. The most reticent and introvert witnesses divulge their sensitive experiences with total ease in my presence. My style of interpretation very much liked by the judges, attorneys, and witnesses. I have decades long interpretation experience in immigration courts, superior courts, asylum office, legal depositions, and the Department of Homeland Security.
At the same time, I am a skilled translator and transcriber between Urdu, Punjabi and English languages.
I am professional, dependable, and honest.
You will be really happy with my performance after you choose me for your next project.
