My B.A. is English Language and Literature. Now I'm studying M.A. in Arts and Aesthetics. I've done lots of translation and interpretation jobs, most of which are not confined within the area of arts, like import&export, IT and other industries. Working experience:
From 2003 to 2005, worked as a teacher of English, translator and interpreter for 2 years in Laiwu Steel and Iron Group, one of the leading steel and iron manufacturers in China. Translation for import and export (Impex). Interpretation for businessmen.
After coming to India:
(1)Working for Huan Yu Ri Yue Impex Co. in India (part-time). Works include translation and interpretation for setting up a branch of company in India.
(2)Interpretation work for installation of computerized system machine, metal coating and electroplating of gold etc.
(3)Interpretation work for Wit-Color Printing Machine exhibition in India.
(4)Simultaneous interpretation for Microsoft Government Leaders Forum held this year in New Delhi, speakers including Bill Gates, Gerri Elliott, Timothy Chen, Wu Jichuan etc.
(5)Interpretation work for China Tech Exhibition.
(6)Simultaneous interpretation for the 2nd Global Labour Forum
So I'm interested in the areas of arts, literature, social sciences, business, IT, other industries. Nearly all the fields except patent and legal affairs' translation.
Translation rate: 0.09 USD per word (4.00 Indian rupees). For bulk work it's negotiable according to number of words, and deadline for finishing the work. Less rate for more words. |
