Greetings from Chicago! I started working as a professional translator in 1998 in the legal department of an international beverage company. I left in January 2008, and have been a full-time freelancer since then.
My specialty is corporate law, and I have translated everything from articles of incorporation to discovery documents in huge lawsuits; I have developed a subspecialty in big environmental cases, and presented a seminar, "Translation Issues in International Environmental Lawsuits," at ATA's 2014 convention.
Not only am I certified by the American Translators Association for Spanish-to-English translation, I have a master's degree in writing (English!) from Northwestern University, and I meet deadlines. Please contact me for references, a CV, and/or samples. I look forward to working with you. |
