Liquid-Ring Vacuum Pumps/Compressors

An impeller rotates in a cylindrical housing located off-center from the shaft.
The rotation of the impeller causes operating liquid to build a circulating liquid ring in the housing, which oscillates in and out in the impeller cell like pistons.
This lifts off from the impeller hub toward the suction side and the process gas enters into the increasing volume through the axial suction slot.

La rotazione della girante forza il liquido di esercizio a creare un anello liquido che circola nel vano stesso e si muove con moto oscillatorio rispetto alla camera della girante in modo simile ad un pistone.
Il liquido si allontana, sollevandosi dal centro della girante verso il lato di aspirazione e il gas di processo, attraverso la bocca di aspirazione assiale, entra nel volume che viene ad espandersi progressivamente.
