The primary focus of this manual is in the use of IDL Version 2 which includes intrinsic IDL routines, as well as procedures and functions specifically geared toward the reduction and analysis of GHRS and other HST data. Most of the core GHRS routines were written by the DAF staff and deal with database manipulation, data calibration, and instrument evaluation. Other routines made their original debut with the IUE and UIT projects at GSFC and have been modified (usually with a name change) to fit within the GHRS environment. A third and very important class of IDL software has come from the GHRS user community.
GHRS DAF IDL routines are located in a series of sub-directories assigned to the VMS logical ZPRO. The name of the sub-directory indicates the general category into which the procedures fit. For example, the sub-directory DBASE contains the IDL database procedures, while the sub-directory STIO contains routines for reading SDAS, FITS, and other file formats. When a call is made to an IDL procedure or function, IDL first looks at the users current working directory for the procedure.

Source text - English The formation of products of the terminal reaction of lipid peroxidation in the Trilucent soybean oil filler has been documented .
In the filler from stored, packaged implants, n-alkanals were found in eight of ten controls ranging from 0.72 to 1.40 mmol/l (Grootveld et al., 2000). In filler from implants that had been in place in women for 9-38 months (excluding two samples that had sampling concerns), n-alkanals were detected as well as other classes of peroxidation breakdown products, namely trans-2-alkenals, and cis, trans-alka-2,4-dienals. The maximum concentrations in mmol/l were as follows: n-alkanals, 1.3.
These must represent products of oxidation of the fatty acids in triglycerides, mainly linolenic acid, and breakdown of the fatty acid peroxides at the methyl terminus. Again the presence of these in the filler indicates that retention is greater than release, if there is any. Also, as discussed in the Introduction, the rate of formation of aldehydes must necessarily decrease with time as oxygen and the triglycerides are consumed.
Young et al. (1996) studied triglyceride bleed in female rabbits implanted on the right side of the dorsum with smooth silicone RTV-cured implants containing peanut oil mixed with 3H-labeled oleic acid at a concentration of 1mCi (2.2 x 109 dpm) 3H per 125 ml oil. The bleed of 3H at 6 months of implantation was localized in the periprosthetic capsule (2.3% of the dose). Smaller amounts were found in the omental fat (1.5% of the dose), contralateral fat (0.4%), and aorta (0.02 %).

Young et al. (1996) estudiaron los triglicéridos en sangre implantándosela a unas conejas en el lado derecho del dorso con implantes de silicona libres de RTV que contienen aceite de cacahuete mezclado con ácido oleico marcado con tritio (3H) en una concentración de 1mCi (2,2 x 109 dpm) 3H por 125 ml de aceite . La desintegración de 3H a los 6 meses de la implantación se localizó en la cápsula periprotésica (2,3% de la dosis). Se encontraron cantidades más pequeñas en la grasa epiploica (1,5% de la dosis), en la grasa contralateral (0,4%), y en la aorta (0,02%).

My name is Gloria Martinez, I studied Filología Inglesa (English language and literature degree) at the Universidad de Sevilla (Spain).
