Graduate diploma - Universidad Las Palmas de Gran Cnaria
Experience
Years of experience: 19. Registered at ProZ.com: Nov 2010.
My name is Dolores Profeta, I was born in Berlin and since 1986 I am living at the Canary Islands.
I have a german mother and an italian father, so I grew up in a multicultural family.
I am bilingual german - spanish and I have a good knowledge of english and italian.
I am studying translation and interpreting at the Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria since 2005 and I am translating since three years.
I had translation works in different fields, such as Tourism, Medical, Finances, Graphic Arts, Advertisement, Subtitling and Archeology but this used to be for friends or people of my social environment, so I have not worked for a professional institution to this day.
As intepreter I also had some jobs at conferences, meetings and sometimes at the police office.
Now I am just finishing my dregree (February 2011) and I signed up to gather/share information, be in contact with professional translators, to take advantage of translation asignements and to know how it works.
Above all, I love languages
