My favourite subjects are history, politics, business, photography (I also work as a freelance travel photographer), architecture, art and music, although I am also happy to consider work of a more scientific nature.
I am a native English speaker from the UK and have been translating from Lithuanian into English since 1996, when I actually lived in Lithuania. I now do Lithuanian-English translations on a regular basis for the European Parliament and the European Translation Consortium.
Apart from agencies and universities in the UK, Ireland and Western Europe, my clients include the well-known Vilnius publisher Baltos Lankos, for whom I have translated several books on Lithuanian history, politics and food.
In the past I have also done Lithuanian-English translations for GlaxoSmithKline and translations of technical regulations for the European Language Consortium.
As for German, I do mostly arts related translations through the agency English Express in Berlin. Recently I translated material for an exhibition of the work of the award-winning Magnum photographer Gilles Peress.
