English to Italian: Nursery Rhyme from "The name of the wind"/Filastrocca da "Il nome del vento"
Source text - English When the hearthfire turns to blue,
What to do? What to do?
Run outside. Run and hide.
When his eyes are black as crow?
Where to go? Where to go?
Near and far. Here they are.
See a man without a face?
Move like ghost from place to place.
What's their plan? What's their plan?
Chandrian. Chandrian.
When the hearthfire turns to blue,
What to do? What to do?
Run outside. Run and hide.
When your bright sword turns to rust?
Who to trust? Who to trust?
Stand alone. Standing stone.
See a woman pale as snow?
Silent come and silent go.
What's their plan? What's their plan?
Chandrian. Chandrian.
Translation - Italian Se blu si fa il focolare,
Cosa fare? Cosa fare?
Fuggi. Scappa. Che t'acchiappa.
Sguardo ner che notte pare.
Dove andare? Dove andare?
Chi lo sa. Già son qua.
Vedi un uomo senza faccia?
Passa senza lasciar traccia.
Qual è il loro tetro pian?
Chandrian. Chandrian.
Se blu si fa il focolare,
Cosa fare? Cosa fare?
Fuggi. Scappa. Che t’acchiappa.
Se la spada arrugginisce,
Che colpisce? Che colpisce?
Resta ritto. Masso dritto.
Una donna color neve
Va e vien con passo lieve.
Qual è il loro tetro pian?
Chandrian. Chandrian.
English to Italian: Song from "The name of the wind"/Canzone da "Il nome del vento"
Source text - English In evening when the sun is setting fast,
I'll watch for you from high above
The time for your return is long since past
But mine is ever-faithful love.
In evening when the light is dying
My feet at last are homeward turning
The wind is through the willows sighing
Please keep the hearthfire burning.

Years of experience: 19. Registered at ProZ.com: Feb 2006.
I graduated in 1999 in Business Administration.
I lived more than one year in the UK, working for a mobile phone games company as italian localisation tester.
I recently completed the re-translation of Oblivion, a famous computer RPG, in order to fix the several issue of a really bad localisation.
Now I am working as a freelance translator of fantasy book for Fanucci Editore: I have translated the novel "The name of the wind" by Patrick Rothfuss, published in February 2008, and the novel "Confessor" by Terry Goodkind, last volume of the "Sword of Truth" series; I've also been assigned the latest novel of another famous fantasy author (to be published next fall).
In the meanwhile I also follow personal projects also related to videogames like translations of news and articles for MMORPGItalia and other reviews and translations.
