I am currently working as an English-language live subtitler for deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences, and am taking freelance translation and proofreading projects.
Before this, I worked as an in-house translator in France for a company website specialising in eco-friendly products.
I have taken part in freelance and voluntary translation projects on the subjects of ecology, tourism, sport, music, children's rights, film, and medicine. I have also completed an internship at a translation agency in London.
I studied at the University of Leeds, where I achieved a 2:1 in my BA French and a merit in my MA Translation Studies. My main translation project consisted of two 5,000-word translations, for which I received a distinction. These were in the field of linguistics and sociology/psychology respectively.
I am an experienced user of many CAT tools, and have an advanced Trados certification.
My interests include linguistics, music, books, film, photography and travel.
