I graduated as an English-French translator from the University of Ottawa in the early 90's and I have been a language professional ever since.
After spending 5 years doing general translation, I specialized in the software industry.
I worked for 6 years as a software localization professional at Cognos (has since been acquired by IBM); I am also certified from the The Institute of Localisation Professionals (TILP).
After Cognos, I moved on to lead the team of translators at the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI).
Later, I decided to move to Calgary, where I have worked for the past five years as a software localization specialist and technical writer for a firm that creates voice-based and and web-based applications.
I am now interested in going back to my roots as a translator and taking on freelance work.
