Kidani Memorial Cancer Center
喜谷記念がん治療センター
「喜谷記念がん治療センター」は、当院の診療収
入や目的積立金のほか、当大学の元薬学部長である故
喜谷名誉教授からの寄付金により整備されました。
１階には、国内の大学病院で初めて導入されたもの
で、複雑ながん病巣へのピンポイントの照射などが可
能なトモセラピーや、従来のものより高画質な撮影が
可能となる３テスラのＭＲ装置などの高度医療機器を
揃えています。
２階には、外来診療棟にあった化学療法室を増床移
転し、より多くの患者さんに化学療法を受けていただ
くことができるようになりました。
抗がん剤の調製については、西日本初導入となる抗
がん剤自動調製装置を設置し、調製時における曝露の
危険性を最小限に抑えています。
当院は、愛知県地域医療再生計画に基づき、質の高
い医療人を育成するため、「臨床シミュレーションセ
ンター」を設置しています。
ここには、周産期医療等の技術を習得できるよう、
多数の医学教育用シミュレーターが設置されており、
愛知県内の医療従事者が共同で利用できるようにな

The Kidani Memorial Cancer Center has been further improved with object deposits and earnings from our clinic and such apart from donations from our University`s former Pharmacology Head,
Emeritus Professor Kidani. Our hospital`s first floor is the first
domestic university hospital to have introduced an array of advanced medical technology capable of performing precise radiotherapy on the focus of complex cancer with the new Tomotherapy system, but also able to take high quality pictures using a 3 Tesla MRI. The 2nd floor Out Patient Clinic, home to the Chemotherapy Department, has been
expanded to accommodate more patients than was previously possible. Concerning Anti-Cancer Medications, We are the first hospital in western Japan to introduce the installation of an automated device capable of producing Anti-Cancer medication with the lowest possible risk of exposure throughout the manufacturing process.
Our hospital, in order to train highly qualified
medical professionals, in accordance with our
plan to rejuvenate medicine in the Aichi area,
has constructed a `clinical simulation center`.
In order to better aquire Perinatal care and such
techniques, a large number of medical
simulators are being implemented in a way
that all medical practitioners within the Aichi
Prefecture can make use of them. |

この度は、ジアスに認定頂き、誠に有難うございます。深く感謝申し上げま
この認定を契機として、能登町としましては、春蘭の里や炭焼きなどの「伝
統技術」、奥能登のあえのことやキリコ祭りなどの「伝統文化」の他、「稀少生物の保存」、「農山村の原風景の保存」等に対して、より一層の保全と価値の創造を図り、併せて生物多様性にあふれた「里山・里海」という、これらの遺産を次世代に継承すべく最大限の努力をしていく所存です。
さて、「里山・里海」は生活様式の変化や、過疎化などで荒廃が進み、様
々な動植物の生息環境の維持が難しくなっています。この認定によりまして、国内外から能登地域を訪れる観光客等の交流人口の増加、地元で採れた農林水産物がブランド化されることにより、能登地域全体の知名度の向上、ひいては、町の活性化に繋がっていくものと大いに期待し、併せて、能登の環境がこれまでどおり、保全されていくことを切に願うものであります。
また、ジアス認定によりまして、「里山・里海」が再認識されることは、大
変意義深く思うと同時に、その期待に応えるべく責任を担うことを、重く受け止めなければなりません。認定に恥じないよう、今後は、地元住民をはじめ産学官の関係諸団体と連携し、持続可能な地域づくりを図り、多くの人が能登地域の資源に魅力を感じていただけるよう、国内外へ情報発信したいと考えております。

I would sincerely like to express my gratitude for the GIAHS initiative’s approval.
With this opportunity, we, the community of Noto, are planning to do our utmost to maintain our traditional skills, like Shunran-no-Sato and the art of charcoal making, together with our traditional culture, such as Noto’s Kiriko
Festival. In addition we aim to preserve a number of endangered species and the picturesque mountain villages that these species inhabit, and combine these legacies with the value of new ides and creations for the next generation to inherit.
The drop in population and changes brought to people’s lifestyles, has led to continued devastation of many ecosystems specifically in Satoyama and Satoumi. This in turn, has made it difficult to preserve and protect various species of plants and animals, as well as making survival more difficult for the ecosystems that still remain.
Therefore, I believe it is truly significant that the GIAHS initiative has acknowledged, and given us this chance to view our natural environment such as Satoyama and Satoumi, in a new light.
With this approval from the GIAHS’s initiative, the number of visitors to the Noto Region from both within the country and abroad will increase, and with the branding and rise in value of local fish and forestry products, more and more people will turn their attention to all areas of Noto. We all, including local inhabitants as well, must work together with all affiliated organizations in order to not make waste of this opportunity and accept the heavy responsibility of the revitalization of our Town.
