After completing my degree in translation at the School for Applied Language and Cultural Studies of the University of Mainz in Germany in 1997, I have worked in various roles in the translation industry, including multilingual project management, translation proofreading/editing, quality assurance, and translation.

Before starting as a freelance translator, I had over 15 years in-house translation experience, completing projects for both large multinational companies and smaller clients in a wide variety of subjects, from technical (patents, documentation, manuals) to medical translations, market research (consumer, medical, IT, business, automotive), business, sports, tourism and art, reliably delivering a high standard of quality to tight deadlines.

I have extensive experience working with major international market research clients, providing a range of language services for the industry, from translation and proofreading of questionnaires, online survey scripts, stimulus materials and reports, translation or coding of verbatims and transcription of interviews, working in a range of formats and platforms: Confirmit, Qualtrics, SurveyGizmo, XML, xliff, MS Excel scripts.

Further specialisations are tourism and hospitality, medical, general IT and technical documents, marketing, as well as a special interest in history and art.
