I grew up in Bolivia, Ecuador, Spain, Malaysia, Singapore and Canada. My parents are Canadian, so I grew up speaking both English and Spanish, and I went to school in both languages. I translate and interpret from Spanish to English and English to Spanish, and I translate from French to English.
I have translated personal documents, contracts and other legal documents, product labels, and video scripts. I have interpreted for government services.
I have trained interpreters and users of interpretation services. I co-wrote and co-produced "The Professional Interpreter", a training video in comedic/dramatic format. I co-chaired Critical Link 2, an international conference on community interpretation held in Vancouver Canada in 1998.
As project coordinator for the translation of brochures, videos and other materials, I have supervised translators, proofreaders, designers and focus groups.
I have a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Simon Fraser University in Canada. My Concentration was in Marketing and my Minor in Spanish.
