Although my interest and experience in translation goes back to my early days of Russian language study as an undergraduate in 1999-2001, I began working professionally as a translator in late 2004 shortly after accepting a position at the Moscow office of The PBN Company, a strategic communications consultancy headquartered in Washington, DC. In late 2005, I joined Mmd Corporate and Public Affairs as a translator, editor and communications consultant. Both firms gave me significant and valuable exposure to a variety of business sectors, including oil and gas, manufacturing, FMCG, finance and audit, and telecommunications, to name just a few.
Since early 2008, I have offered translation services through my company, ABF Translations. I work with clients in North America, Europe, Eurasia and Asia-Pacific - in short, worldwide.
I am a native of Omaha, Nebraska. I received my education at Boston College and Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. In 2001, I was awarded a Fulbright Award from the U.S. Department of State to spend an academic year in Russia. I am fortunate to have been able to spend an additional four years living and working in Russia.
While away from work, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, including two Shih Tzu, as well as traveling, cycling, reading, art appreciation and photography, among many other activities...
