A creative, hard-working, disciplined translator who likes to be challenged. Likes to push boundaries and always perseveres to achieve perfection. Analytical, and not afraid to dive into unknown subject areas, because eager to learn. Avid reader.

I have a degree in American Studies, which I studied at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. While I was a student, I worked as a translator and public relations chief at a publishing house. For this company, I drew up (English) press releases and letters and translated (parts of) books and poems. I loved doing this work so much that I decided to establish my own one-(wo)man translation company.

Some examples of my work as a translator:

- I translated ‘The Red Church’ by bestselling American writer Scott Nicholson from English to Dutch.
- For the Martini Hospital in Groningen, I translated an Australian book on a diet for people with irritable bowel syndrome from English to Dutch. After that, I edited and reorganized the text in order to make it suitable for a hospital website about this diet and irritable bowel syndrome.
- I translated many documents, such as speeches and presentations, for the government of the Province of Drenthe in the Netherlands.
