Korean to English: A New Technique for Preparation of Low Oxygen Mo Powder by Reduction of MoO3 using Ca
General field: Tech/Engineering
Detailed field: Metallurgy / Casting

In this study, as a new method of the reduction of MoO3, using calcium as a reduction agent, the two-phases reduction process, with which reduction and deoxidation can be proceeded simultaneously, is developed. Hypoxic molybdenum powder can be prepared by the two-phase reduction process: 1st phase reduction by contact type method, 2nd phase reduction by non-contact type method using calcium vapor, and the additional deoxidation. It verifies that the oxygen content in the molybdenum powder prepared in this way can be considerably low; indeed, the oxygen content is approximately 2,800ppm, and it is very low compared to the oxygen content in the commercial molybdenum powder which is over approximately 4400ppm. The oxygen content in the powder, which is prepared by the oxygen reduction method using the same raw materials, is about 5,000ppm; it verifies that the maximum 2,000ppm or more can be reduced if the power is prepared by the two-phase reduction process using calcium as this study suggests.

6. Disease outbreaks of Vietnam veterans and the enactment of the law related to the Agent Orange
A. Disease outbreaks of The United States veterans and the issues rose regarding the relevance of the Agent Orange
As it is alleged that a growing number of people among Vietnam War veterans have begun to show a serious illness and congenital health defects to their children have occurred throughout the early and mid-1970s, the question regarding the relation between the disease outbreaks of the veterans and the exposure to the herbicide in the war, especially the Agent Orange, was raised.
In addition, the allegation that the death of some Vietnam veterans might have been caused due to the exposure to herbicides were brought to the attention of social concern, and in its process, with the help of some experts, a large number of Vietnam veterans and their bereaved families filed a liability lawsuit regarding the Agent Orange product against the seven Agent Orange manufacturing companies including the defendants around the year 1979.
Meanwhile, since the early 1970s, the United States Congress have continued to bring public hearings on the impact of herbicides on human health used in Vietnam, and then in the 1980s, and it came to enact a law to provide treatment and compensation for the diseases of the Vietnam Veterans.

Dear Sir/Madame:

As a freelance
translator I offer
an expertise in
translating between the Korean and English languages. I had also a deep
experience in western cultures as I had lived in Canada for 16 years for my
academic degrees.

Since I began my
translation career, I have worked on a wide range of subject fields including
financial documents, legal documents, contracts, and engineering fields.

Recently, I have begun
to focus on engineering patent translation for Korean <->English documents.
I am certain that I am capable of offering the high quality of translation on
this field thanks to my academic training. In fact, I hold an academic
engineering background in my BA degree.

Should you require
additional information, please contact me at your convenience.

Thank you for your review and professional consideration.
