My name is Beatriz Rueda Sancho and I am a Spanish national graduate of Languages, Interpreting and Translating at the Scottish University of Heriot Watt. I have been working as a freelance translator for the last three years.
Passionate for languages and cultural exchanges from a very early age, I have lived and worked for over ten years now in three different countries (UK, France and Italy), something that has helped me gain a great insight into how language is intrinsic to expressing and sustaining culture and vice versa.
Enthusiastic about what I do, I am a conscientious person who works hard and pays attention to detail. I'm also flexible, quick to pick up new skills and eager to learn from others and rise to new challenges.
In fact, my career objective is mainly focused towards the achievement and development of new and challenging skills while enhancing those already gained through my educational and professional experience, preferably through tasks involving research and active learning. Being languages and intercultural exchange and communication my main focus of interest, I aim to improve mostly my translational and interpreting skills while taking any possible opportunity to enlarge my background and general knowledge of any other field.
