Source text - Portuguese O objetivo geral deste trabalho é investigar como o resultado da entidade pode ser afetado a partir do uso dos diferentes métodos de Depreciação. Por Depreciação entende-se a perda de valor sofrida pelos bens físicos de uma entidade em decorrência de seu uso, ação da natureza ou obsolescência. A importância deste estudo se dá pelo fato de se tratar de um tema de interesse dos profissionais ligados à contabilidade, tanto no campo profissional, como também de natureza de estudos teóricos. Além disso, como o resultado da empresa é o ponto crucial, no qual os gestores estão aplicados, a forma correta da Depreciação é um fator determinante neste resultado. O tipo de pesquisa aqui desenvolvida foi a bibliográfica, o método utilizado foi o monográfico e a técnica de documentação foi uma observação indireta realizada através de resumos de livros, artigos, entre outros. Após ser discorrida a presente investigação, constatou-se que entre os quatro métodos analisados (métodos das quotas constantes, da soma dos dígitos dos anos, de unidades produzidas e de horas de trabalho) apenas o método da soma dos dígitos dos anos apresentou resultado diferente dos demais. Conclui-se, portanto, que o resultado econômico da entidade foi alterado por este método, que sempre mostrou maior valor da quota de Depreciação do que os demais.

Translation - English The main objective of this essay is to investigate how the outcome of the entity may be affected from the use of different methods of depreciation. Depreciation means the loss of value suffered by physical assets of an entity as a result of their use, action of nature or obsolescence. The importance of this study is given by the fact that it was a topic of interest for professionals related to Accounting, both in the professional field, but also for the nature of theoretical studies. Also, as the result of the company is the crucial point, in which managers are applied, the correct way of depreciation is a determining factor in this result. The type of research developed here was literature, the method used was the monographic and the technical documentation was observation held indirectly through summaries of books, articles, among others. After this investigation was analyzed, it was found that among the four tested methods (methods of quotas set, the sum of the digits of years, of units produced and hours of work) the only method that had a different outcome was the adding of the digits of years. The conclusion, therefore, was that the result of the economic entity has been changed by this method, which always showed higher value of the share of depreciation than the others.

Source text - Portuguese O acidente de trânsito é considerado como o maior problema de saúde pública do mundo representando, dentre as causas externas de mortalidade, um dos principais agravos, especialmente em países de média e baixa renda. Dentre as lesões graves causadas pelos acidentes de trânsito as lesões medulares apresentam números preocupantes. Nesse sentido, o trauma raquimedular é uma disfunção clínica de alto custo socioeconômico que acarreta alterações importantes no estilo de vida do portador. O objetivo do estudo consiste em caracterizar o acidente de Trânsito que apresentou como desfecho vítimas com Trauma Raquimedular. O estudo é observacional retrospectivo e descritivo com estratégia a amostra possui 32 indivíduos, residentes em João Pessoa – PB, os quais responderam um questionário semi-estruturado e padronizado. A pesquisa foi realizada na cidade de João Pessoa-PB no ano de 2011. Com relação aos resultados, das 32 vítimas entrevistadas, 59% sofreram o trauma em João Pessoa, durante a madrugada (31%) e não estavam usando equipamento de segurança (56%). O atendimento pré-hospitalar foi realizado, predominantemente, por equipe especializada: Bombeiros (16%), SAMU (44%) e Polícia Rodoviária Federal (6%). Os acidentes envolvendo motocicletas apresentaram alta prevalência (43%). Para identificar a relação entre a natureza do acidente de trânsito e o nível da lesão medular utilizou-se da análise de correspondência que apresentou, entre outras, a relação entre a lesão “LOMBAR” com a natureza “QUEDA DE MOTO”. A principal contribuição deste estudo consiste em servir como base para nortear políticas públicas voltadas para a prevenção, fiscalização e educação dos grupos de risco aqui caracterizados.
Translation - English Traffic accidents are regarded as the greatest public health problem in the world, representing, among the external causes of mortality, one of the major aggravation, especially in middle and low income countries. Among the serious injuries caused by traffic accidents, spinal cord injuries have worrying numbers. Thus, the spinal cord injury is a medical high socioeconomic cost that entails major changes in lifestyle of the wearer. The aim of this study is to characterize the traffic accident victims who presented as the outcome with spinal trauma. The study is observational, retrospective, descriptive strategy, the sample and standardized has 32 individuals living in Joao Pessoa - PB, which answered a semi-structured and standardized questionnaire. The survey was conducted in the city of Joao Pessoa in 2011. Regarding the results of the 32 victims interviewed, 59% suffered trauma in Joao Pessoa, overnight (31%) and were not using safety equipment (56%). The pre-hospital care was carried out predominantly by a specialized team: Firefighters (16%), SAMU (44%) and Polícia Rodoviária Federal (6%). Accidents involving motorcycles had a high prevalence (43%). To identify the relationship between the nature of the traffic accident and the level of spinal cord injury, we used correspondence analysis, which showed, among other things, the relationship between the injury "loins" with the nature "FALL IN MOTORCYCLE". The main contribution of this study is to serve as a basis to guide public policies for the prevention, control and education of the risk groups here characterized.
