Professional practices Linda Holzgreve endorses's Professional Guidelines (v1.1).

I offer English to German translations (preferred, I can switch if necessary). I have a couple years experience as a translator, mainly of news articles and job adverts, and recently became certified through a state exam (Staatliches Prüfungsamt für Übersetzer Berlin).

I have previously worked as a proofreader of both German and English and really enjoyed that - so if you just want me to go over a text that you've already written or translated, I'm happy to help you out with that.

If you don't have any text yet but need one, feel free to contact me as well.

I have two master's degrees in Journalism and in American Literature (combined with Political Science and European Anthropology). As for cultural familiarity, let me just state that I'm based in Berlin but have lived in Canada, Moldova and Russia (speak some Russian, too, if you absolutely want to). I have spent some time in the US as well. I'm not extremely familiar with anything UK (although spelling is in some ways similar in Canada).

Now after this long introduction, I'm looking forward to hearing from you! Regards, Linda
