Diane Kinslow Koani
A native of California, Diane moved to France in 1977, ostensibly to stay a year and learn French. She ended up spending 20 years there. After learning to speak French, she worked as a French to English technical translator and interpreter for 12 years. Diane worked for scientific organizations like UNESCO and ICSTI, and did many types of translations including, medical and literary. Diane and her daughter moved to Hawaii in 1997.
Working on computers since the 80s and having to reproduce a multitude of technical documents in both French and English, she became very familiar with many types of software, computers, styles, hardware, terminology and techniques. Since in Hawaii, Diane has worked for the Bank of Hawaii as a financial translator, and works currently teaches French with the University of Hawaii. |
