I am 42 years old and I am fluent in English since I was 16, when I obtained a Certificate of Proficiency in English from the University of Michigan.
Since then I have kept my knowledge sharp by getting in contact with the language on a daily basis. Everyday I watch movies in English, listen to music in English, and read a lot in English.
I have no formal eduction in translation (I have a BS in Physics and a PhD in Astronomy), but I am perfectly at ease translating non-specialized texts as well as texts about computers, engineering, physics, astronomy, mathematics, chemistry and biology.
