My name is Roni,
I was born and raised in Israel and grew up in California, US. thus spent half my childhood in Israel and half in the US. I moved to Barcelona, Spain in 2003 in order to improve my Spanish and get some experience with bilingual education, since then I have formed a family and currently reside in Barcelona.
I work as an English teacher for children and adults of all ages and various levels, and in my free time I do translations and interpretations. While visiting California these past years I have worked as an interpreter in medical visits and have done translations and editing for students completing their theses. And in Barcelona I currently do translations for a lawyer and some interpretation work for clients that don't speak Spanish. As well as translate correspondeces between the clients of a factory producing vacuum pumps.
Last year I was hired to translate a questionaire for a German university addressing issues of Spanish immigration in Germany. It inspired me to involve myself more seriously in the work of translation. I hope to continue doing translations, editing and interpretations with more regularity and frequency. I am also open to, and interested in gaining experience in different fields of interests and different subjects of translation.
Thank you
