I have translated a wide range of documents, from online language education material for the University of Tokyo to MOUs and materials used in litigation for major financial companies. My legal translator experience introduced me to medical and technical translation, as well as construction document translation for litigation involving these fields.
Currently, I translate up to 100 pages a month for a bi-monthly manufacturing industry trade journal. Articles for the journal are written primarily by the editorial staff, engineers, and university professors working in the fields of chemistry and physics. Working directly with the authors of many of the articles has provided me with the background knowledge to the topics and a strong enough understanding of the converting field to write articles in both English and Japanese on the subject.
