I’m a Spanish-to-English translator and English-language copyeditor specializing in the environmental, nonprofit, and tourism sectors.
Having worked as a geographic information systems programmer and analyst, I have extensive professional experience in environmental analysis, information technology, and cartography, and I’ve translated hundreds of Spanish-language loan descriptions for Kiva, a nonprofit microlending organization. I’m also a certified English-language copyeditor with experience writing and editing scientific reports, environmental impact statements, grant applications, and academic papers.
Growing up in South Lake Tahoe, CA, a year-round resort town in the Sierra Nevada mountains of Northern California, I worked in many tourism-related jobs. That experience coupled with the fact that I have lived on three continents and traveled extensively on five, has prepared me to translate a wide variety of tourism-related content. I have first-hand experience in a wide range of travel and tourism-related subject matter, from backpacking and SCUBA diving to fine dining, museums, and theaters.
My attention to detail and writing experience mean that I will deliver a top-notch document that will enable your organization to communicate effectively with the English-speaking world.
I look forward to working with you.
