My name is Hamish Armstrong-Millar.
I am currently an undergraduate at Newcastle University reading Modern Languages. While I am in no way qualified to translate texts to and from my STUDIED languages, Spanish and German, I am can speak perfect French, as well as, of course, English.
I have also had limited amounts of experience in translation, having completed only a few paid jobs between English and French, ranging from instruction manuals for a Moroccan guest house to refugee tenancy agreements, and volunteer and unpaid work for my entourage, including websites, advertisements, CV's and the like, over the course of about two years.
What I lack in experience, however, I make up for in low price and enthusiasm. I am trying to start translating during my undergraduate years to attempt to avoid the famous Catch 22 "no experience = no job, no job = no experience" situation, in addition to my volunteer translation.
