I am a French native speaker. I am perfectly fluent in English and I offer technical translations from English to French. I have been living and working in United Kingdom for 4 years and I'm currently based in France. English is still today the language I speak the most as half of my family are English.

Education and diplomas

After an A level in philosophy and foreign languages, I spent one year at University studying Anglo-Saxon language and civilisation. Following this first year, I pursued my studies and obtained in 1999 a HND in commerce (marketing, logistics, distribution, international commerce etc).

After working for many years, I decided to return to my studies for 2 years in 2006 in order to learn CAD and obtain a qualifying diploma in the field of steel structures. Therefore I obtained a University diploma in CAD and a degree in Design of Steel structures. Both these diplomas were obtained with distinction.

My work experience:

I have been working for 4 years as a Project Engineer for an English company supplying and installing dams.
I have been responsible for many major projects in France and Europe for Clients with a national reputation.
I would translate all the project related documents (drawings, calculations, specifications, commercial and administrative documents...) from English to French.
These projects were utilising my various knowledge and skills in various fields. These included Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automatism, Electricity, Pneumatic circuits, Metal Work etc.
My translation work also included conversions between the imperial and metric systems.
