I am a motivated professional translator with 16 years of experience in translation and 6 years of experience in specialized
translation (scientific, medical and technical). I have obtained the Translator's Certificate issued by the Board of Translators and Interpreters of the Hungarian State in 2012. I am a full member of the Chartered Institute
of Linguists (MCIL) and the American Translators Association. Recently, my
focus has been on the (creation and) translation of medical, scientific and
pharmaceutical documents throughout various therapeutic areas.
My primary language pair is
English-Hungarian/Hungarian-English, but I also accept Italian language
assignments whenever possible.
I have obtained my first (Bachelor's) degree in Economic
Diplomacy and EU relations, I therefore possess a comprehensive knowledge of EU
terminology and have acquired extensive experience with the official texts of
the EU institutions. I have obtained my Master's Degree in Molecular Biology in
2011.
The landmarks of my translating career include literary
translation (works of J.R.R. Tolkien) and numerous IT and mechanical projects
as well. Since 2018, I have also been working as a audiovisual translator/subtitler and QC provider.
