I am Italian. I have a second level degree in Translation Studies (English to Italian, French to Italian). I currently live in Spain.
Over the last 10 years I lived and worked in Italy and France. These experiences have helped me getting to know different cultures and people.
After I achieved my first level degree, I moved to Rome where I went to “La Sapienza” University to get my second level degree in Translation Studies. In the meantime I worked as an intern in the cultural department of the French Embassy in Rome. Here I had the opportunity to work in the organization of cultural events, starting from their original planning up to the actual fulfillment. I took part in the organization of theater, dance and music festivals. I organized press conferences, conventions, meetings and cultural events for the Embassy. I was also editor-in-chief for the music and dance festival brochures. I was in charge of the translations for the cultural service. My professional relationship with the Embassy quickly evolved from an internship to an outsider adviser job, as I became Production Manager from 2010 to 2013 for the French music festival, “Suona Francese”, held in Italy.
During the same period, I cooperated with an important music institution in Italy, Auditorium Parco della Musica, as a Production Manager for the pedagogical section of “Suona Italiano”, an Italian music festival in France. In particular, I was in charge of the concert organization and of the communications between Italian and French conservatories.
In 2011 (October/November) I worked as a Production Manager for a literature event, Antonin Artaud - Variazioni Italiane, for “La Sapienza” University in Rome.
Since 2013 I have been working as a freelance translator. I usually translate technical writings and press releases from English to Italian and from French to Italian.
